Privacy Policy for FastIF – Fasting App & Timer
Effective Date: June 5, 2026
FastIF – Fasting App & Timer (the "Application") is a local-only health and wellness utility for iOS focused on intermittent fasting timers, habit tracking, and personal health insights. It is provided by Manas Protim Das (the "Service Provider") as a freemium service, intended for use "AS IS".
This privacy policy applies to FastIF distributed through the Apple App Store.
Use of this application is governed by Apple's Standard EULA, available .
1. Information Collection and Use
FastIF does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to external servers.
All data generated by the Application—including fasting timers, fasting history, hydration logs, weight entries, custom protocols, and preferences—is stored only on your device using Apple's local storage technology.
- No Account Required: FastIF does not require registration, login, or personally identifiable information to function.
- No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not collect your IP address, device identifier, usage patterns, or other telemetry.
- No Cloud Syncing: Your data is not uploaded to any server.
- No Cookies: The Application does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.
2. Health Data and HealthKit
FastIF may request access to Apple HealthKit to read and write health data such as body weight, so the Application can provide a more complete picture of your fasting and wellness progress.
- Purpose: HealthKit access is used only to sync weight data between FastIF and the Apple Health app on your device. The Application reads your existing weight entries and saves new weight entries you log within FastIF back to Apple Health.
- On-Device Only: All HealthKit data is processed entirely on your device. It is never uploaded to or shared with any external server.
- No Third-Party Sharing: FastIF does not share any HealthKit data with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
- Permission Control: You can grant or revoke HealthKit access at any time in your device settings under Privacy & Security → Health → FastIF.
- No Use for Advertising: HealthKit data is never used for advertising or unrelated research purposes, in compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.
3. Home Screen Widget
The Application provides a Home Screen Widget that displays your current fasting status and progress. The widget reads fasting data from a shared local storage container between the app and widget extension. No data is transmitted externally by the widget.
4. Photo Library and Sharing
FastIF allows you to save and share fasting achievement cards as images when you complete a fast.
- Purpose: Photo Library access is used only to save achievement card images you choose to share. The Application requests write-only (add) access to your Photo Library.
- No Photo Reading: The Application does not read, scan, or access existing photos in your library.
- Share Sheet: Sharing is handled through Apple's standard share sheet. The Service Provider does not receive or intercept any shared content.
- Permission Control: You can grant or revoke Photo Library access at any time in your device settings under Privacy & Security → Photos → FastIF.
5. Payments and Premium Features
FastIF offers an optional one-time "Supporter" unlock (lifetime access) via in-app purchase processed through Apple's App Store using StoreKit.
- All payment transactions are handled entirely by Apple.
- The Service Provider does not receive your credit card details, billing address, or Apple ID.
- Purchase information is governed by Apple's privacy terms.
- The core fasting timer and essential features remain free with no ads, no tracking, and no subscription.
6. Third-Party Services
The Application does not share, sell, or transmit any user data to third parties.
- No third-party SDKs, ad networks, or analytics services are integrated into the Application.
- No data is shared with third-party AI services.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Since application data is stored locally on your device:
- Retention: Data remains on your device for as long as the Application is installed.
- Deletion: You can delete all application data by uninstalling the app or using any reset options built into the Application.
- No data remains on external servers because none is transmitted.
8. Your Rights
You have full control over the data stored on your device:
- Access: Any app data that exists locally is available within the Application.
- Deletion: You may uninstall the Application or use in-app reset options to remove local data.
- Portability: Because the Application stores data locally, it remains under your control on your device. Premium users may export their fasting history as a CSV file directly from the Application.
Since the Service Provider does not collect data on a server, there is no server-side data to request, correct, or delete.
9. Children's Privacy
FastIF does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to the Service Provider, please contact us at the email below so appropriate action can be taken.
10. Security
The Application relies on Apple's platform security and sandboxing to help protect your data.
- The Application does not intentionally make network connections to transmit user data.
- All health data processing and fasting calculations occur on-device within Apple's secure sandbox.
- HealthKit data is protected by Apple's system-level Health data encryption.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating this page with a new effective date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
